Ray Lewis and The Cobalt Lounge
Ray Lewis and The Cobalt Lounge were sued in a wrongful death case. Ben Finley defended the Cobalt. The various theories included negligence, dram shop, assault and battery and punitive damages. The Cobalt made no settlement offer and the case resolved.
JURY VERDICTS: Ben Finley successfully tried a jury trial in State Court on behalf of a hotel chain and its insurer. The plaintiff demanded $4,000,000.00 and was offered $250,000.00. At trial, the jury returned a defense verdict on behalf of Finley's client.
