Congratulations Super Lawyers!
Each year lawyers are invited to nominate the top attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. There is an attorney-led research staff that also researches for lawyers who have attained certain honors or results. The researchers evaluate candidates by 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The evaluations are based on a variety of online and database sources including firm websites, legal publication and information supplied to Lawyers.com. Candidates are grouped according to their primary practice areas then by firm size. The attorneys with the highest totals from each category are selected.

ATLANTA, GA-The Finley Firm, P.C. is proud to announce A. McCampbell (“Mac”) Gibson is joining the firm as its newest partner. After practicing at Alston & Bird for over 21 years, Mr. Gibson will bring his commercial litigation practice that focuses on real estate disputes, eminent domain and condemnation matters, premises liability, construction litigation, and business coverage disputes. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association. He was named “Super Lawyer” in the latest 2012 edition of Atlanta’s Super Lawyer Magazine as well as in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Third Annual Service Day 2011
The Finley Firm spent the afternoon on August 17, 2011 at the Atlanta Community Food Bank for the 3rd Annual Service Day. The employees were trained to sort, package, weigh and move boxes of food, condiments and other non-perishable items. The group helped package 7,913 pounds, which is equivalent to 5,275 meals for the needy. The Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) was established in 1979. ACFB distributes donated food and other non-perishable items to food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. Beth Howard - SBWC Conference
Beth Howard will be participating in The Workers’ Compensation Hearing of the Century at the State Board of Workers’ Compensation Conference on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 2:40 - 3:30 p.m. The course will be a reenactment of a workers’ compensation trial focusing on surveillance, expert medical testimony, and lay person testimony. 2nd Annual Service Day

Howard, Newest Associate at The Finley Firm, P.C.
Beth Howard, a former Hatton, Alabama resident and daughter of John and Jean Howard, is the newest associate at The Finley Firm, P.C.
Beth graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and she obtained her Juris Doctor from Georgia State College of Law. While at Georgia State, she competed on the Student Trial Lawyers Association Mock Trial Team and advanced to the Regional Semi-Finals in both the American Bar Association and Association of Trial Lawyers of America competitions.
She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Alabama State Bar. Beth was selected as a “Rising Star” among the Georgia Super Lawyers of 2010.

2010 Super Lawyers
Every year Atlanta Magazine publishes a special section, “Super Lawyers”, to recognize the top attorneys in the state of Georgia. The Super Lawyer/Rising Star (Rising Stars are attorneys that are 40 years or younger and have been practicing for 10 years or less.) selection process is multi-step process-nominated by their peers, evaluated by peers and a third party research. Each nominee is evaluated on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

Georgia Trend's 2009 Legal Elite-4 Attorneys Selected
